The
Beginnings of Boyd's Bears Gary Lowenthal, creative genius behind The Boyds
Collection Ltd. began his career as an entrepreneur by running his own antiques
shop. Before long, however, he moved to Pennsylvania and formed a partnership
with artist Gae Sharp that would change his life. In 1987, the two joined
together to create a line of jointed teddy bears that would take the world
by storm.
